Frequently Asked Questions

I'm out of network, can I still see you for counseling?

In short, yes! I work with out-of-network clients all of the time.

These clients are subject to my hourly rate that is collected up front. I then provide a summary of services at the end of the month so they can submit the receipt to their insurance provider for any potential reimbursement. I suggest calling your insurance company to see what your out of network benefits are.

I live out of state. Can you be my therapist?

At this time I am only licensed to provide services in IL and FL. This means that if you are physically located in any other state at the time of service I cannot see you. Individuals who live in IL or FL may benefit from all therapy services.

3

Do you offer couples therapy?

I only work with individuals.

4

Do you see kids?

I only work with adults at this time.

5

Do you treat addictions?

If you are active in your addiction I am not going to be the best person for the job. I would suggest finding a therapist with a CADC (certified alcohol and drug counselor) to assist you in achieving sobriety.

I am happy to see anyone with at least 6 months of sobriety under their belt.

5

Do you offer between-session support?

I do not offer counseling support between sessions via phone, text, or e-mail. There are many reasons for this, with the number one being liability. I am happy to communicate about scheduling and billing in-between sessions if I am available.

Otherwise, we will work together to come up with a plan for you in-between sessions. Anyone who is in crisis should call 911 or go their local ER if they are feeling unsafe.
